De La Salle Principal Margaret Betts has invited Keltia to start the first CATIA training program for students to benefit from in the future in any Irish secondary school with De La Salle Waterford itself. Kevin our Director and former student of De La Salle College in Waterford give a talk to students and teachers on the 4th of March regarding careers in Aerospace and Automotive using CATIA.
Keltia is part of an Irish owned Aerospace Technical Support company based in Seattle, US with an office in Waterford and Cork in Ireland. Keltia wants to show a bigger picture to the students involving them with CATIA at a younger age. This not only benefits them but it also benefits companies in the future as they won’t have to be spending excessive amounts for training purposes.
Maybe you’re wondering what CATIA can be used for. During the presentation Zeva was mentioned, Zeva Aero a new company based in Tacoma, Washington, USA has created an all-electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircraft concept called Zero (Zero-emissions Electric Vertical Aircraft) to provide alternative options to people for their daily commute. CATIA is used to design the landing gear for the aircraft.
